Music has always been part of their blood. As teenagers, they started out performing with their father, who spent years making a living as a one-man band in the worlds of blues and country. That early grounding in traditional roots music laid the foundation, but it also lit a spark—a restless urge to bend the rules and carve out something of their own. As Baskery, they’ve stayed true to that spirit, building a sound where stripped-back acoustic instruments meet grit, drive, and a fearless sense of play.
Over the years, they’ve released several critically acclaimed albums and built a reputation as a fierce and captivating live act. Extensive touring has taken them across the globe, with appearances at major festivals like Glastonbury Festival, South by Southwest, and Newport Folk Festival. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with artists such as Robbie Williams, Gary Clark Jr., and Brandi Carlile, and earned praise in leading music publications.
In 2023, they released their fifth original album, V: End of the Bloodline, recorded in a secluded studio in the English countryside together with producer Sean Lakeman (known for his work with The Levellers and Billy Bragg, among others). The record carries a wide-ranging, roots-soaked sound, where each track finds its own character while staying tied together by strong musicianship and those unmistakable, close-knit vocal harmonies.
On stage:
Greta Bondesson – banjitar, guitars, drums and vocals
Stella Bondesson – double bass and vocals
Sunniva Bondesson – electric guitar, acoustic guitar and vocals

This concert is part of the Malmö Folk Festival, a folk music festival taking place on various stages around Malmö from April 8–12.
