Formed in 2009 by students at the Sarajevo Music Academy, Divanhana quickly made their mark with their debut recordings alongside vocalist Vanja Muhović. The early singles struck a chord with audiences and sparked a growing international following. Their first full-length album, DERT (2011), was created in collaboration with acclaimed German producer Walter Quintus and marked the beginning of their journey onto the global stage.
Divanhana takes a clear step forward with their sixth album Radio Sevdah, opening up their sound beyond a strictly acoustic framework for the first time. Blending original compositions with reinterpretations of traditional sevdah songs, the album unfolds in a sonic landscape that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in tradition. With touches of ambient music, psychedelic rock, and electronic influences, the band creates a rich and dynamic whole, preserving the emotional core of sevdah while exploring new artistic directions. The result is a bold and cohesive work that conveys a strong sense of belonging, freedom, and unity.
On stage:
Selma Droce – vocals
Larisa Lejla Droce – violin
Nedžad Mušović – accordion
Neven Tunjić – piano, keyboards
Azur Hajdarević – doublebass
Irfan Tahirović – percussion
