The Los Angeles-based blues/rock guitarist, singer, and producer Josh Smith has established an international presence over the past two decades, both as a solo artist and on stage alongside musicians such as Joe Bonamassa, Eric Johnson, and Kirk Fletcher. His approach to blending blues, rock, and jazz, combined with his explosive live performances, has made him a well-known figure on the contemporary blues scene. Together with his band, he delivers a powerful sound that ranges from raw, slow blues to driving grooves and high-energy rock.

Alongside his worldwide touring, recordings, and performances with renowned artists, Josh Smith is also a producer and runs Flat V Studios in Los Angeles. He has produced artists such as Reese Wynans (Sweet Release), Eric Gales (Crown), Joanna Conner (4801 South Indiana Avenue), Joanne Shaw Taylor (The Blues Album), Andy Timmons (Electric Truth), Jimmy Hall, Larry McCray (Blues Without You), Artur Menezes (winner of the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival 2019) (Anyday, Anytime and Fading Away), Seth Rosenbloom (Keep on Turning), Jamey Arent (The Back Burner), and many more.

His work as a producer has earned him a Grammy nomination for Crown by Eric Gales, and in 2026 he co-produced B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100 with Joe Bonamassa – a large-scale project featuring artists including Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and George Benson.
