This Danish quartet, led by Mathias Heise on chromatic harmonica and keyboards, has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting groups in modern jazz fusion. Together with David Vang on bass, Mads Christiansen on guitar, and Aksel Stadel Borum on drums, they create a relentless and energetic sound. An original blend of funk, rock, and jazz, where electrifying guitar solos, sizzling synthesizers, and powerful beats weave together into intense grooves. Heise himself calls the style FuRoJazz – and the result is both infectious and innovative.

At the age of just 20, he won the ”world championship” in chromatic harmonica, and in the same year, he founded Mathias Heise Quadrillion. Mathias Heise is not only a virtuoso on his instrument but also a brilliant pianist, composer, and arranger.

Heise has, among other things, collaborated with the DR Big Band, released the acclaimed album The Beast, and arranged John Coltrane’s masterpiece A Love Supreme. With Quadrillion, he has released three albums, including the self-titled Quadrillion, which critics have hailed as the work of a world-class band.

Quadrillion is more than a star-driven project – it is a group where each member contributes their own unique voice. The result is a powerful, modern, and playful fusion that renews jazz with a distinctly Danish groove.
