He has won first prize at the Cleveland International Piano Competition and received the Royal Medal Litteris et Artibus. In addition to his concert career, he has appeared in the documentary Solisten (The Soloist) and produced the film Freedom of the Will, exploring Beethoven’s music and its meaning. He now resides in Princeton, New Jersey, with his wife, pianist Shan-shan Sun.
Formed in 2018, NOVO Quartet has rapidly established itself as one of Europe’s most exciting young string quartets.
