
Since 2013, GURLS has been the creative playground for saxophonist Hanna Paulsberg and bassist Ellen Andrea Wang. With their debut album Run boy, run, which won a Spellemann Award for Best Jazz Album in 2018, GURLS has charmed both audiences and critics, topping festival line-ups across Norway.
In the project ”Trondheim Jazz Orchestra & GURLS,” they are joined by vocalist Marianna Sangita Røe. The collaboration culminated in Hanna Paulsberg’s acclaimed commissioned work OUI, which was met with great enthusiasm at several of Norway’s biggest jazz festivals and was awarded a Spellemann in 2022.
