More about the artist

Karl Olandersson Quartet consists of the absolute elite of Swedish jazz, coming together to create a distinctive interpretation of the acclaimed trumpeter Karl Olandersson's music. With roots in jazz tradition, but with a fresh and modern twist, the quartet offers a broad palette of melodic and harmonic finesse. Their music moves freely between dynamic peaks and subtle nuances, with an attentive and well-woven interplay that constantly surprises.

The Karl Olandersson Quartet showcases musical precision and top-class creativity. Since their formation in 2017, they have established themselves as one of Sweden's leading jazz acts. Last fall, the band released their fourth album, "Hurry Up And Wait," which further solidified their unique position on the jazz scene.

Karl Olandersson himself is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed and in-demand jazz trumpeters, active in many different contexts. In addition to leading his own quartet, he is a recurring guest soloist and part of groups like Stockholm Swing All Stars, Stockholm Jazz Orchestra, Nine Sparks Riots, and Trinity. Beyond his jazz career, Karl frequently appears in commercial settings, such as larger pop productions and TV shows like Vilket Liv, Idrottsgalan, Let’s Dance, and Allsång på Skansen.

Picnic theater

This is a picnic event, or as we like to call is: Picnic theater. That means that you may bring your own food and drinks to the event.

It doesn’t matter what you bring – take-away pizza at one table is followed by oysters and caviar at the next. Bring what you feel like, and don't forget to bring glasses and cuttlery!

Please note that you may not bring food if you have tickets for the balcony, only drinks and snacks.
