Poveda and Guerrero have created one of the best flamenco albums of recent years, which shows Miguel more cantaor than ever, masterfully interpreting the texts of his admired Federico. In every “compás”, the album reveals a delicate blending of the rich heritage of Cante Jondo and the profound poetry of Federico. The guitar of San Fernando-born Jesús Guerrero, adds a new and unique dimension, offering a “flamenquísimo” accompaniment that will delight every flamenco lover.
"Poema del Cante Jondo is not only an album but an intimate meeting with the roots of Flamenco and the love that each of the authors have put into it throughout their lives, through “el cante”, “la guitarra”, percussion, “las palmas”, and of course, poetry."
This captivating fusion of Lorca’s earthy, flamenco-inspired poetry with the expressive interpretations of Poveda and Guerrero creates a truly unique experience. Here, the emotional intensity of cante jondo intertwines with Lorca’s profound reflections on the soul of flamenco, resulting in an artistic achievement that resonates deeply.
