As a result of the pandemic situation that prevails with the spread of the new coronavirus and the covid-19 disease, the Victoria theater is facing an uncertain future. Culture is an industry that, even before the spread of the virus, has been characterized by small financial margins and low incomes. We currently don't know what this situation will mean for our business or how long it will last, but something that is quite certain is that it will not be easy, neither for society at large nor for us as a culture scene and culture workers; with everything it entails with the loss of ticket revenue, reduced audience numbers and personal losses.
We will do everything we can to get through this difficult time, but we need your help. Firstly, we appeal to you who purchased a ticket to one of the concerts that have been canceled, that if you have the possibility, not to claim back the money for the tickets or consider making a donation to us via Swish: 123 374 91 73. Med sin klassiska jazztriosättning av piano, bas och trummor, och medlemmarnas rötter i jazz och improviserad musik, väver trion sin egen väg och lyckas på ett spännande sätt skapa en unik och fascinerande syntes där inslag av rock och dansant electro möter känsligheten och strukturen hos skolade jazzmusiker, klassisk musik, Afrikanskt och klanger från Mellanöstern. Deras musik stiger i intensitet och spänning, med en underliggande känsla av ett vilt hav, som också kan bedarra och växa i sin egen kontemplativa skönhet. Shaloshs musik speglar en bild av deras hemstad Tel Aviv och dess urbana miljö, en färgstark, tolerant och impulsiv plats som utforskar gränser, hyllar arrogans men som också lugnas av havets vågor.
Under sina fem år som tillsammans har trion släppt tre album, varav det senaste, ”Onwards and upwards”, släpptes i maj 2019 på den prestigefyllda tyska etiketten ACT. Albumet var ett stort steg uppåt för bandets karriär, som deras första studioalbum på en stor etikett. Skivan har hyllats av press över hela världen och mottagit fina recensioner i bland annat The Times, The Guardian, Rolling Stones, Downbeat och otaliga andra.
Shalosh har genomfört över 350 internationella konserter på några av världens mest prestigefyllda scener bland annat i Japan, Korea och i hela Europa, inklusive show på Ronnie Scotts, Duc Des Lombards, Moods, Unterfahrt, Palatia Jazz festival, Njut av Jazzfestival, La Cote D'opal, Jarasum Jazz Festival, Salzburg Jazz Festival, XJazz festival, Jazz n Klezmer, Alfa Jazz festival m. fl.
Gruppen är i färd med att släppa sitt fjärde album, som vi kommer få ta del av under denna konsert.
