Följ med denna klezmertrio på en musikalisk upplevelse som lockar till både skratt och gråt. En resa som börjar bland judiska spelmän i Öst- och Centraleuropa, där sprakande klezmer och den judiska kulturen blommade fram till andra världskriget. Med smäktande melodier från när och fjärran, bubblande tvåtaktssväng och sorgesamma sånger gestaltar Tzeitel en kultur som först blev splittrad men sedan samlades ihop ur spillrorna.

Support Victoria theater

As a result of the pandemic situation that prevails with the spread of the new coronavirus and the covid-19 disease, the Victoria theater is facing an uncertain future. Culture is an industry that, even before the spread of the virus, has been characterized by small financial margins and low incomes. We currently don't know what this situation will mean for our business or how long it will last, but something that is quite certain is that it will not be easy, neither for society at large nor for us as a culture scene and culture workers; with everything it entails with the loss of ticket revenue, reduced audience numbers and personal losses.

We will do everything we can to get through this difficult time, but we need your help. Firstly, we appeal to you who purchased a ticket to one of the concerts that have been canceled, that if you have the possibility, not to claim back the money for the tickets or consider making a donation to us via Swish: 123 374 91 73. If you would like a refund for your tickets, notify your claim for reimbursement to Kulturcentralen at Södra Förstadsgatan 18, +46 (0) 40-10 30 20, info@kulturcentralen.nu at the latest one (1) month from the event date / day when the event should have taken place.

Tzeitel föddes ur de tre musikerna Sara Fridholm (dragspel och sång), Anna Cochrane (fiol och altfiol) och Christopher A Bångs (kontrabas) gemensamma längtan att få gräva djupare och förlora sig i klezmermusikens fantastiska myller av melodier, rytmer, klanger och storslagna känslor. I över ett decennium har gruppen utforskat klezmern och dess gränsmarker och hittat en egen unik vrå av detta vida musiklandskap, där traditionella låtar får existera sida vid sida med nya skapelser. Musikens kärna är dess berättelser och beröringskraft.

Med sin starka scennärvaro och personliga tilltal har gruppen etablerat sig som en av Sveriges främsta klezmergrupper. Bland influenserna kan nämnas: Kroke, Crakow Klezmer Band, John Zorn & Masada String Trio, Alicia Svigals, Astor Piazzolla, m.fl.

På scen:
Anna Cochrane – fiol och altfiol
Musiker, kompositör och fiolpedagog bosatt i Göteborg. Spelar med genreöverskridande musikgrupper och projekt som I Underlandet och Gethenian
suite.

Sara Fridholm – dragspel, piano och sång
Musiker, kompositör och skådespelare som är bosatt i Torsåker i Gästrikland. Är medlem i grupper som Volodja, Blås, Bälg och Tagel, duon Valkvisor och Skottes Musikteater. Skriver teatermusik och har medverkat i ett flertal musikteateruppsättningar som skådespelande musiker.

Christopher Andersson Bång – kontrabas
Musiker, diktare och kompositör bosatt i Torsåker i Gästrikland. Jobbar i många olika musikaliska sammanhang såsom Volodja, Sandy Brechin Trio, Resmiranda etc. Driver eget skivbolag, Barrackas Records.
