More about the artist

Daniel Ögren is one of Sweden's most versatile and innovative musicians. As a member of the acclaimed band Dina Ögon, he has helped shape one of the most original groups in modern Swedish music. He is now back with the highly anticipated solo album "Pine", set to be released on February 12. Daniel's music is eclectic and genre-crossing, with influences from South American folk, Nordic folk music, soul, and film scores. He often blends funky rhythms, psychedelic guitars, and vintage synths, creating a sense of being in a dreamlike universe where genre boundaries are blurred and new, personal soundscapes emerge.

In addition to his successful career as a member of Dina Ögon, Daniel is also currently working as the producer for Broder John's acclaimed album Följ inte mig. His broad musicality extends beyond his solo work, having previously collaborated with a range of international stars such as Sven Wunder, Eva Dahlgren, Amason, Daniel Johnston, Anna von Hausswolff, Fatoumata Diawara, and Anna Järvinen.

Daniel's solo career began with the album Laponia (2011), and since then he has released several critically acclaimed records, including Laponia II (2013), Brev till Kristinehamn (2014), Mountains (2015), Brev från Leksand (2018), Fastingen-92 (2020), and Laponia III (2022). As a multi-instrumentalist and producer, he has not only created groundbreaking works within his own solo material, but also played a crucial role in the development of productions for many of Sweden's biggest artists.

With a style that occasionally recalls Dungen or Tame Impala, and a fondness for library music – the instrumental music created for use in films and commercials – Daniel's music moves freely between different styles and eras. It feels both contemporary and timeless, like a smooth DJ set that skillfully mixes old and new elements to create something entirely unique.

Picnic theater

This is a picnic event, or as we like to call is: Picnic theater. That means that you may bring your own food and drinks to the event.

It doesn’t matter what you bring – take-away pizza at one table is followed by oysters and caviar at the next. Bring what you feel like, and don't forget to bring glasses and cuttlery!

Please note that you may not bring food if you have tickets for the balcony, only drinks and snacks.
